1. About InnerBalance.

InnerBalance is a global online community that connects through our community app and weekly online events.

InnerBalance supports you in understanding yourself and others better, grow emotionally, build deeper relationships, and live with more awareness and connection. We learn with and from each other on eye-level.

InnerBalance is for open-minded and open-hearted people who believe that change is possible, that we can empower and learn from each other, and that personal growth doesn't have to happen alone.

It is also for people who enjoy engaging digitally. Much of our community life happens through reading, writing, reflecting, and exchanging thoughts and experiences online. You don't need to be a great writer, but you should feel comfortable expressing yourself in writing and be curious about how digital spaces can be used in a healthy, intentional, and genuinely connecting way.

You don't need to be at a particular stage of personal development. What matters is curiosity, openness, respect, and a willingness to engage and grow alongside others.

The community itself is the learning method — InnerBalance comes alive through the people who participate, the experiences they share, the questions they ask, and the perspectives they bring.

At the same time, you’re not simply entering an open forum, but are guided and welcomed with an Onboarding.

InnerBalance provides structure and a shared rhythm through monthly themes, guided reflections, our Monthly Journey, challenges, live gatherings, and carefully created spaces for different kinds of connection and growth.

Because we want to bring people together who might never otherwise meet. Being online allows us to connect across countries, cultures, generations, and different life circumstances — without requiring people to live in the same place or overcome the barriers that often make in-person communities difficult to access.

We believe this diversity makes the community richer. When people with very different lives come together with curiosity, respect, and a willingness to learn from one another, we can discover perspectives, experiences, and ways of seeing the world that we might never encounter within our usual circles.

It has some familiar features, but a different intention. Rather than encouraging endless scrolling, self-promotion, or collecting likes, InnerBalance is designed around meaningful participation, reflection, learning, support, and genuine connection. It can be used as a conscious replacement for other social media platforms.

Yes. InnerBalance is built as a non-profit association, and all donations go directly toward our mission. Our non-profit purpose is rooted in three areas: education, intercultural exchange, and civic engagement.

Through InnerBalance, we want to create opportunities to learn and grow, bring people from different cultures and backgrounds into meaningful exchange, and encourage people to contribute actively to their communities and the world around them.

No. Coaching usually involves a person in a specific role supporting you individually toward set goals. In InnerBalance, there is no coach-client relationship and no one directing your personal development.

Instead, growth happens through community: exchanging experiences, asking questions, encountering different perspectives, practicing together, and learning from one another. Everyone can be both a learner and a contributor, while remaining responsible for their own choices and growth.

No. InnerBalance is a peer-to-peer community for connection, reflection, learning, and personal growth — not a therapeutic or crisis-support service. Members are expected to take responsibility for their own wellbeing and to consider whether they are currently in a place where participating in personal and emotional conversations feels appropriate.

InnerBalance cannot provide the professional support needed during a mental health crisis or replace therapy when professional care is needed. This boundary helps protect both you and the other members of the community.

Maybe. InnerBalance is built on mutual support, where we both give and receive. While members can be there for each other, no one should be expected to carry responsibility for another person’s mental health or provide the support needed during a crisis.

Whether InnerBalance can complement therapy depends on why you are receiving professional support. If therapy is part of your personal development, self-exploration, or emotional growth, the two can work well alongside each other.

If you are experiencing an acute mental health crisis, psychosis, severe instability, or currently need close professional support, InnerBalance is not an appropriate support environment. If you're unsure, we encourage you to discuss participation with your therapist or another qualified mental health professional.

2. Belonging and participating.

People from different countries, cultures, generations, backgrounds, and walks of life — each bringing their own experiences, perspectives, and ways of seeing the world. What brings us together is a shared vision of a more loving and understanding world. Imagine what happens when we meet with a curiosity and openness instead of judgement.

We believe that encountering people who see the world differently can expand our own understanding.

InnerBalance won't be the right community for everyone. If you strongly dislike communicating online or are looking for a mostly passive experience, it may not be the best fit. InnerBalance becomes meaningful through online participation — reading, reflecting, sharing, listening, and contributing in your own way.

Curiosity, respect for others, and a willingness to engage. We value empathy, authenticity, openness to different perspectives, and the intention to grow. You don't need any special knowledge or previous experience.

To participate online, you'll need to feel comfortable reading, writing, and engaging digitally. For our live gatherings, we ask you to join from a stable connection and with your camera on. Seeing each other helps us create presence, trust, and a more connected experience for everyone.

Absolutely. InnerBalance is created not only for its members, but with them. We encourage you to bring your ideas, experiences, skills, and creativity — whether through a conversation, resource, workshop, exercise, or something entirely new. If it aligns with our values and enriches the community, we’d love to explore it with you.

No. You can arrive exactly as you are. Some members may have explored these topics for years, while others are just beginning. We believe everyone has experiences and perspectives that others can learn from.

Yes, if quiet does not mean passive. InnerBalance is a participatory community. It comes alive when people engage with each other, so we do ask for a willingness to connect, share, and contribute in ways that feel authentic to you.

You don't need to be outspoken or talk a lot to be an active part of InnerBalance. Listening deeply, reflecting, asking thoughtful questions, and giving others space are valuable ways of contributing too.

To some extent. InnerBalance is built on authentic human exchange, so being willing to share something of yourself — your experiences, thoughts, feelings, questions, or perspectives — is part of participating in the community.

That doesn't mean sharing everything or going beyond your boundaries. You always decide what feels appropriate to share. But if you are looking for a space where you can remain entirely private or only observe, InnerBalance may not be the right fit.

Yes. InnerBalance is designed to fit in your daily life, not be another obligation on your list. You can take part in conversations, activities, and gatherings according to your interests, energy, and available time.

For the live gatherings you need to be comfortable expressing yourself and able to follow the flow of the conversation.

Outside the live gatherings, you can translate everything. The web version can be translated in your browser, and members can use translation tools when reading or writing. InnerBalance has even an integrated tool to improve grammar and spelling when writing a comment. We have members who barely speak English and are active in the app. Being part of the community can even be an opportunity to become more comfortable using English.

We want InnerBalance to bring together people across countries, cultures, and backgrounds. English gives us a shared language through which many of us can meet. Many don’t have English as their first language, including the founders. Honest communication and genuine understanding matter more than perfect grammar.

We build our culture around shared values such as respect, equality, authenticity, conscious communication, and care for the community. Clear community agreements and active co-leading help us protect that culture. At the same time, we don't expect a community without disagreement — we want to learn how to navigate differences and conflict with awareness and respect.

3. What happens inside InnerBalance.

Anything from a cozy conversation or a gratitude reflection to deeper questions about relationships, emotions, identity, creativity, or life. There are also monthly themes, challenges, resources, shared exercises, member stories, and live experiences. You can find all of this in the InnerBalance App — our always-open community home, available through the app or your web browser: a place to connect, reflect, share, explore, and take part at your own rhythm.

Our live gatherings are a chance to slow down, meet other people, and explore something together — not just learn about it. You might discover a new perspective, understand yourself a little better, practice a different way of relating, or simply experience the feeling of being genuinely heard and connected.

The gatherings are interactive and shaped by the people who take part. There is space to share, listen, reflect, experiment, and learn from one another — you don't need to have the right answers or be an expert, just come as you are and be curious.

No. They are not mandatory. You can participate only through the App, join gatherings when they work for you, or combine both in whatever way feels right for you. Live gatherings offer a space to go deeper — to explore and experience topics together, hear different perspectives in real time, and build stronger connections with other members.

No. Our live gatherings are intentionally not recorded. We want people to be present without wondering who might watch later and to create space for more open conversations. However, we might make a transcript only with the participants’ consent we ask in the beginning. This helps us to write the recap of the Mastermind that you can find later in the Library.

You'll start with an Onboarding that helps you understand the community, its culture, and the different ways to participate. The hosts are there for you to make the start easy. From there, you can explore at your own pace, introduce yourself if you want to, join conversations, and try a live gathering when you feel ready.

There is no required amount. You might check in for a few minutes, spend time with a reflection, or join a longer live gathering. We care more about meaningful participation than how much time you spend online.

However, we do believe that small, consistent engagement brings the most value over time. Even 5–10 minutes a day to read, reflect, respond, or connect with someone can make a meaningful difference over time. Rather than adding one more thing to your life, we invite you to consider what InnerBalance could replace — a few minutes of doom scrolling, for example — so that it can find a natural place in your everyday life.

4. Growth and benefits.

Over time, InnerBalance can help you develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and a deeper understanding of yourself and others. You may become more conscious of your patterns, more connected to yourself and confident in expressing from the heart; more open to different perspectives, and better able to navigate relationships, emotions, and challenging situations.

Along the way, you can find meaningful connections, inspiration, support, and a sense of belonging — while having a space to reflect, practice, and turn insights into changes in everyday life. What you take from it will depend mainly on how you choose to participate.

You can only feel connected when you dare to be yourself in your relationships. It means opening your heart to yourself and others - opening up, showing vulnerability, and meeting others with care when they do the same.

InnerBalance is a safe space where you can practice sharing and listening from the heart, while diving into many essential topics related to healthy relationships. InnerBalance gives you a place to slow down, notice what is happening within you, put experiences into words, and share parts of yourself with people who engage with care.

At the same time, you encounter lives, perspectives, cultures, and ways of seeing the world that may be different from your own. Over time, this can deepen your understanding, create a stronger sense of belonging with others, and help you feel more connected to the world around you.

We nurture connection to life by building awareness, trusting our own voice, and learning to trust life even when we don't have all the answers. By noticing what can easily get lost in the everyday — beauty, kindness, gratitude, or the possibility for growth within a challenge — we cultivate an honest, appreciative, and more conscious relationship with life itself.

InnerBalance turns personal growth into an ongoing shared practice with others. Being surrounded by people who are also reflecting, learning, and trying to grow can inspire you, keep you motivated, and help you stay with your intentions over time.

Relationships are something we learn through relationships. By practicing healthy ways of relating within InnerBalance - attentive listening, expressing yourself honestly, understanding different perspectives, setting boundaries, navigating differences, and becoming more aware of your own patterns, you can develop capacities that extend far beyond the community.

Everyone is a learner and a contributor at the same time. Instead of one person having all the answers, we bring our experiences, questions, knowledge, cultures, and perspectives together. We believe there is something to learn both from what we share and from what happens between us.

Because InnerBalance brings together people from different countries, generations, cultures, and life experiences, you will often encounter perspectives you wouldn't find in your everyday environment. You don't have to agree with someone to learn from them — curiosity, respect, and genuine exchange are what make the learning possible.

5. Our vision and values.

We believe many of the challenges we face — personally, relationally, and collectively — are connected to how we understand ourselves and how we relate to one another. InnerBalance exists to create a place where we can practice greater awareness, empathy, connection, and respect together — and carry more of that into our everyday lives to create a more peaceful, connected and understanding world.

Personal growth doesn't end with us. How we understand ourselves influences how we communicate, love, disagree, work, care, and make decisions. When we become more aware of ourselves and more capable of relating to others with empathy and respect, that change can ripple into our relationships, communities, and the wider world.

We believe solidarity to be the foundation for the world we envision. Therefore, we don’t only talk about solidarity, we practice it. Therefore it is reflected in the way InnerBalance itself is build. Being part of InnerBalance means being invited to practice solidarity starting from the way we sustain and develop the space itself.

We want solidarity to be something we experience, practice, and carry beyond InnerBalance into our everyday lives.

6. Contribution, solidarity and membership.

Because we want financial contribution to reflect solidarity rather than determine who belongs.

We don't all have the same financial reality. 20€ can be a casual meal out for one person and a meaningful part of another person's monthly budget. Equal contribution doesn't always mean equal effort. That's why our model invites those who can give more to help make participation possible for those who can give less. For us, this is solidarity in practice.

Your contribution helps cover the real costs of running InnerBalance: the community platform, digital tools, live gatherings, hosting, conceptualisation, organisation, payment fees, administration, marketing and outreach.

Most importantly, it supports the time, care, and professional work behind the community — researching and preparing themes, creating experiences and resources, facilitating gatherings, caring for the community, making thoughtful strategic decisions, and the continued development of the community.

It also helps us keep participation accessible to people with different financial possibilities.

Membership gives you access to the InnerBalance App and its community spaces, conversations, reflections, resources, monthly themes and activities, as well as our regular live gatherings. Most importantly, it gives you a place in the community — with opportunities to connect, contribute, learn, support, and grow alongside others.

Yes. You can end your membership whenever you choose to within a month. We hope InnerBalance becomes a place you genuinely want to be part of — not somewhere you stay because you're locked into a long-term commitment.

Yes. Life changes, and there may be times when you need to step away from InnerBalance. If you know you’ll be absent for a longer period, we appreciate it if you let us know.

If an account remains inactive for an extended period without notice, we may deactivate it to keep InnerBalance a living community of people who are genuinely present. You’re always welcome back and can reactivate your account with your information still there when using the same email address.
